Students on the BSc (Hons) in Paramedicine who successfully complete modules to the value of at least 120 credits (including MD1004, MD1005, MD1006, MD1007, MD1008, MD1009, MD2003 and MD2004 MD2005, MD2006, MD2007, MD3006) may opt to exit the programme and be awarded a Diploma in Prehospital Care.

Programme Learning Outcomes for Diploma in Prehospital Care (NFQ Level 7, Major Award)
On successful completion of this programme, students should be able to:
- Demonstrate an awareness of prehospital practice from a multidisciplinary perspective including epidemiology, psychology and public health.
- Perform EMT skills and techniques in a safe, efficient and effective way.
