Overview

There are eight pathways to choose from which will be phased in over the first four years of the Programme.

Pathway 1 – Computed Tomography (CT)
Pathway 2 – Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI)
Pathway 3 – Ultrasound (Obstetrics and Gynaecology)
Pathway 4 – Image Interpretation
Pathway 5 – Advanced Practice
Pathway 6 – Radiation Therapy
Pathway 7 – Management and Leadership
Pathway 8 – Radiation Protection
Pathway 9 – Mammography

Exit Awards

Postgraduate Certificate in Medical Imaging and Radiation Sciences

Upon successful completion of modules to the value of 30 credits, students may opt not to proceed with the programme and exit with a Postgraduate Certificate in Medical Imaging and Radiation Sciences (NFQ Level 9, Minor Award).

Postgraduate Diploma in Medical Imaging and Radiation Sciences

Upon successful completion of modules to the value of 60 credits, students may opt not to proceed with the programme and exit with a Postgraduate Diploma in Medical Imaging and Radiation Sciences (NFQ Level 9, Major Award).
