The Postgraduate Diploma in Ancient and Medieval Languages is a full-time programme running for 9 months.

Students take 60 credits consisting of language modules to a minimum of 40 and a maximum of 50 credits (Section 1) and cognate culture modules to a maximum of 20 and a minimum of 10 credits (Section II). They choose modules according to their experience in their chosen languages and cannot take a beginners' module (CC6001, CC6004, GK6001, LT6001, EN2012) if they have already passed it (or its equivalent). If students choose a beginners’ module in any language (CC6001, CC6004, GK6001, LT6001, EN2012), they cannot take a second module in that language. They cannot take more than 15 credits in total at less than 6000 level. No-one can repeat modules already taken at the BA level.
