Students who have not taken higher level mathematics/physics in their Leaving Certificate examination are strongly advised to take Option 1.

Students wishing to pursue the BSc Chemistry with Forensic Science outlet must take BC1001, BL1002, and MB1003.

Students who wish to enter the BSc in Science Education in second year must choose a minimum of 10 credits in biology in first year in order to satisfy the requirements of the Teaching Council.
