Candidates on the MA (Experimental Sound Practice) programme who pass at least 30 credits of taught modules may elect to exit the programme and be awarded a Postgraduate Certificate in Experimental Sound Practice.

Programme Learning Outcomes for Postgraduate Certificate in Experimental Sound Practice (NFQ Level 9, Minor Award)
On successful completion of this programme, students should be able to:
- Demonstrate improved knowledge and understanding of many important trends in New Music and other sonic arts;
- Exhibit comprehension of a number of technical skills employed in the creation of music and other sonic arts;
- Show expansion, improvement and greater confidence in their artistic language;
- Demonstrate increased ability to discuss and critique their own and others' music and/or other sonic art;
- Demonstrate improved knowledge, aesthetic comprehension and technical abilities across a selection of sonic arts.
