Candidates on the MA (Global Gallery Studies) programme who pass Part I (60 credits) and who choose not to progress to the dissertation or who fail, or fail to submit, the dissertation, may be awarded a Postgraduate Diploma in Global Gallery Studies.

Programme Learning Outcomes for Postgraduate Diploma in Global Gallery Studies (NFQ Level 9, Major Award)
On successful completion of this programme, students should be able to
- Demonstrate a critical understanding and knowledge of gallery theory and practice in a global context;
- Acquire further experience of practices in the contemporary gallery;
- Develop a critical awareness of fine art objects as they cross geographical borders and cultural traditions;
- Demonstrate a critical understanding of various ethical issues related to global gallery studies.
- Create a personal digital portfolio of critical writing and curation.
- Define the role of the contemporary gallery in global societies;
- Articulate findings and communicate judgements cogently and coherently in a variety of oral and written forms and settings.
- Interact and communicate with other students in an interdisciplinary setting.
